ESAero will assist Red Cat with fast-tracked, customer-specific projects

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Sept. 12, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —\u00a0Red Cat Holdings, Inc.<\/a>\u00a0(Nasdaq: RCAT) (\u201cRed Cat\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d), a drone technology company integrating robotic hardware and software for military, government and commercial operations, today announces\u00a0a development partnership with aerospace\u00a0engineering\u00a0firm\u00a0ESAero<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>

ESAero will assist with fast-tracked, customer-specific projects, allowing Red Cat to remain focused on its core hardware and software offerings, including the Teal 2 sUAS.<\/p>

In addition to ESAero\u2019s competencies in design and manufacturing, the company\u2019s Designated Secured Facility \u2014 a government\u2013accredited site where secured information can be stored, discussed or electronically processed \u2014 enables ESAero to work on sensitive projects in collaboration with Red Cat, including payloads designed for future use cases.<\/p>

The first product of the companies\u2019 partnership is an ESAero-designed multi-battery charger, which will be offered as an accessory to\u00a0the\u00a0Teal 2<\/u><\/a>\u00a0sUAS. This multi-battery charger\u00a0makes it possible to\u00a0charge backup batteries while the aircraft is in operation to support persistent ISR missions. Because the Teal 2 drone and its ground control station use the same\u00a0battery pack, the multi-battery charger provides an all-in-one solution. In developing the charger, ESAero leveraged the company\u2019s deep experience in electric aircraft technology and batteries to develop robust and efficient technology for the Teal 2 sUAS.<\/p>

Approved by the U.S. Department of\u00a0Defense\u00a0as\u00a0Blue UAS<\/a>\u00a0and available to purchase through the federal government\u2019s\u00a0GSA Advantage<\/a>\u00a0website, the Teal 2 is designed to\u00a0Dominate the Night\u2122<\/a>. As the first sUAS to be equipped with\u00a0Teledyne FLIR<\/a>\u2019s new Hadron 640R sensor, the Teal 2 offers end users the highest-resolution thermal imaging in a small form factor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Additionally, the Teal 2 features the latest intelligence,\u00a0surveillance\u00a0and reconnaissance technology, delivering time-critical information and enabling operators to make faster, smarter decisions. The system offers multi-vehicle control and\u00a0artificial intelligence<\/a>\u00a0capabilities.<\/p>

Red Cat will exhibit the Teal 2 at the Defence and Security Equipment International\u00a0(DSAI<\/a>) trade show in London from Sept. 12-15.<\/p>
