DARBY’S WARRIOR SUPPORT<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

MISSION:<\/strong> To provide physically and emotionally injured post-9\/11 Special Operations combat veterans with all-inclusive Arkansas hunting and fishing opportunities in an environment that comforts, encourages and fosters rehabilitation, recovery and transition.<\/span><\/p>

HISTORY:<\/strong> Darby\u2019s Warrior Support (DWS), 501(c)(3), evolved from a duck hunting trip five Rangers from 3d Ranger Battalion took in 2002 \u2013 following the first of many combat deployments.\u00a0\u00a0The trip became an annual event for those five Rangers, and after a number of Arkansas rendezvous those men decided it was time to share the experience.\u00a0\u00a0The need to share came with the realization that the weekend was about far more than hunting ducks.\u00a0\u00a0It was more about a time to heal \u2013 watching the sunrise, sharing the scars of combat, and decompressing before the next deployment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Founders of DWS would go on to collectively serve 130+ years in uniform and 26+ years in combat.\u00a0\u00a0Today, DWS hosts 200-300 veterans of Special Operations community on all-inclusive outdoor adventures (duck, goose, deer, turkey, trout fishing, and more).\u00a0\u00a0On 29 September 2022, DWS launched a capital campaign to build a lodge of their own.\u00a0\u00a0Construction will be complete in May 2025, and DWS anticipates hosting 600-800 annually \u2013 changing and saving lives on weekend at a time.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
